The Knells are a post rock, neo-psychedelic chamber prog band from Brooklyn, NY. Their eponymous, debut album was cited as one of the year's most notable releases in The New Republic, The Washington Post, The New Yorker, The Daily Beast, Textura, and many others.
Very happy that Knells emerita and singer extraordinaire Amanda Gregory will be using our music in her upcoming performance art collaboration at the Houston Fringe Festival this Saturday, 9/27. In some accordance with the original idea for The Knells' vocals, Amanda will transform into a "Siren-like figure towering above the audience in a monstrous body sculpture that invokes three figures in one, guiding the viewer through a lucid waking dream." Sounds about right — if you’re in the Houston area, check it out! Get more info here.
Many thanks to everybody who came out to hear our show on August 16 at Subculture, where we shared the stage with visual projection artist Joshue Ott, violinist/composer Christopher Tignor, and the “joy of complexity”/ afropop-inspired Empyrean Atlas.
